My Claire

This award-winning DVD brings to bear many of the inevitable issues involved when one loses a spouse – grief, self-neglect, anger, depression, suicidal thoughts, and finally, coming out on the other side.

Henry, a recently widowed man, is having a hard time dealing with the death of his beloved wife, Claire. Angry at his son, Eric, for taking Claire off of life support, and “letting her go”, he sinks into a depression, neglecting to pick up his medications, eat, or clean the house. He just can’t deal with it – any of it – until his recently deceased wife makes a reappearance, that is. Things suddenly look up, with Henry and Claire back together again – doing laundry, baking cookies, and laughing together.  But soon, reality insists that this “miraculous reunion” can’t last forever, and Henry faces his own life-or-death situation. Will Claire be able to help Henry make some life-affirming decisions or will he join her in the afterlife?

My Claire hones in on the intricacies of grief and loss, family dynamics, and the long, individual road that each of us must take to get through the process of losing a loved one.
