Interviewing older adults especially the frail and sick can be challenging even for a trained interviewer. Many factors can influence their willingness and ability to participate in a study. Because of this, interviewers who have been trained to collect data in a standardized manner must also learn to be flexible enough in their techniques to accommodate the special needs of older adults.
